Baby Henry

Henry arrived 8 days early after my doctor induced labor. Thank goodness he was early or who knows how big he would have been. Here are his stats at birth:
birthday: 12/8/10 3:32
weight: 9lbs. 12.5oz
legnth: 21"

We finally got to come home on Saturday which was so nice my hospital room was getting a little crowded for the 3 of us.

Below are more pictures of my little guy even if he wasn't so little.

Update in Pictures

Here are pictures from our camping trip in September first is Sequoia National Park and than pictures from Yosemite National Park. In October we celebrated our birthdays and I made my very first carrot cake which was actually quite good even though I am not a fan. My co-workers caught me by surprise and threw a baby shower for me on my birthday. It was definitely a surprise and a fun way to spend my birthday.
November was nice and quite. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving I was very proud that I made stuffing from scratch and with Tucker's help we were able to have dinner ready by 11am since he had to work that afternoon. November was also my last month at work.

A Quick Update

The last 2 months have seemed to fly by, I have been busy with work getting things organized and ready for an audit that was long overdue. Thankfully that is finally over. Tucker and I flew out to Detroit for a few days. It was a fast trip but it was great to see Tucker's sister and her 3 kids and my parents who came up to hang out with me while Tucker checked out the facilities at the Detroit Airport. We really liked the area and Tucker seems excited about the jobs available. We are waiting to hear back from the tower before we make a decision about moving to Michigan.

In September we finally took a vacation that didn't involve flying for most of it. We actually had time to relax (as relaxing as camping can be) and just enjoyed being together without having to do anything. We have been wanting to go back to Yosemite National Park and have been wanting to see Sequoia National Park so we went. We spent 2 nights camping in each park and stayed in a hotel between the two. The weather was perfect (for me) and we were able to do almost everything we wanted too. I promise to post pictures soon. I took some with my film camera but over half of them were never actually taken apparently I loaded the camera wrong and the film never advanced. Oh well at least Tucker was taken lots of pictures.

Ultrasound Pictures

So I have debated for about a week about posting these but since I am not very close to friends and family to show them in person and since I think they are pretty cute I figured why not if you don't care to see them please just disregard this post.

The technician tried and tried but he kept putting his hands in front of his face, maybe he is just camera shy; and yes it is a boy!

Heading to Detroit

All of Tucker's persistence has finally paid off, he has been been offered a job at the Detroit Treacon. It looks like we might be heading back to the Midwest. Well at least for a visit. We are planning to visit the area in about a month and Tucker wants to tour the facility and meet the people there before we actually decide if that is where we want to go. But at least it is something for now.

The Last Eight months or so

So I think it is about time I updated my blog so here is what has happened over the last eight months. First there was my friend Karen's wedding in November I was one of the bridesmaids.

The week following Karen's wedding Tucker and I flew out to St. Louis and drove on to Nauvoo for my oldest brother's wedding that was a quick trip and I wish wewould have had more time to spend with family.

After the weddings in November we had a few weeks to regroup and relax before heading off for our Christmas Vacation. We were very ambitious and decided to drive up the coast of California before heading inland for Christmas with Tucker's family. We stopped by one of our favorite places Hearst Castle, here we signed up for the tour of the main house and living quarters the ceilings in every room were different and purchased from various old castles in Europe and the kitchen was truly amazing.

We drove up the coast a little further and found a spot where elephant seals come to mate and give birth so we stayed a watched for an hour or so and enjoyed the excitement.

We continued on up the coast to Big Sur for some hiking and then for some more hiking through Muir Woods.

From Muir Woods we headed to Tucker's parents for some much needed rest and for Christmas.

After our trip north we enjoy the calm of just being home I was able to finally finish my quilt.

We did some camping on the beach and hiked in the desert hoping to find it in bloom.

We have also done some hiking around here as well at a persevere that was recently opened to the public.

I was called to be the Miamaid adviser in Young Womens. Tucker's parents came down in May to visit for the airshow and his father got to ride in a P-51 Mustang ( I will have to post picture later I can't seem to find them at the moment.) One more thing I am 3months pregnant :)
