Ultrasound Pictures

So I have debated for about a week about posting these but since I am not very close to friends and family to show them in person and since I think they are pretty cute I figured why not if you don't care to see them please just disregard this post.

The technician tried and tried but he kept putting his hands in front of his face, maybe he is just camera shy; and yes it is a boy!

Heading to Detroit

All of Tucker's persistence has finally paid off, he has been been offered a job at the Detroit Treacon. It looks like we might be heading back to the Midwest. Well at least for a visit. We are planning to visit the area in about a month and Tucker wants to tour the facility and meet the people there before we actually decide if that is where we want to go. But at least it is something for now.

The Last Eight months or so

So I think it is about time I updated my blog so here is what has happened over the last eight months. First there was my friend Karen's wedding in November I was one of the bridesmaids.

The week following Karen's wedding Tucker and I flew out to St. Louis and drove on to Nauvoo for my oldest brother's wedding that was a quick trip and I wish wewould have had more time to spend with family.

After the weddings in November we had a few weeks to regroup and relax before heading off for our Christmas Vacation. We were very ambitious and decided to drive up the coast of California before heading inland for Christmas with Tucker's family. We stopped by one of our favorite places Hearst Castle, here we signed up for the tour of the main house and living quarters the ceilings in every room were different and purchased from various old castles in Europe and the kitchen was truly amazing.

We drove up the coast a little further and found a spot where elephant seals come to mate and give birth so we stayed a watched for an hour or so and enjoyed the excitement.

We continued on up the coast to Big Sur for some hiking and then for some more hiking through Muir Woods.

From Muir Woods we headed to Tucker's parents for some much needed rest and for Christmas.

After our trip north we enjoy the calm of just being home I was able to finally finish my quilt.

We did some camping on the beach and hiked in the desert hoping to find it in bloom.

We have also done some hiking around here as well at a persevere that was recently opened to the public.

I was called to be the Miamaid adviser in Young Womens. Tucker's parents came down in May to visit for the airshow and his father got to ride in a P-51 Mustang ( I will have to post picture later I can't seem to find them at the moment.) One more thing I am 3months pregnant :)

Sewing Machine

Here is a picture of my new sewing machine. I am going back to the store for a personal sewing lesson next Tuesday so I can learn all about the different stitches and when to use each one and other little tidbits about my machine.

Merry Christmas!!!

I know it isn't Christmas nor is that close to Christmas, but I got my present early so I am excited about Christmas at least for the next week or so.
Tucker wanted to surprise me with a sewing machine (probably so I would finish that quilt). After so discussion with his mom. He thought it would be best if I picked it out so I could exactly what I wanted. Below are the pillows I made with my new machine.

Since finishing these pillows I have decided to replace all of our throw pillows and my wonderful husband has given me a couple of other projects to keep me busy, since I can no longer use my old machine as excuse not to hem his pants.

Fire

Fire season has not officially started yet for the year and already it seems that fires are popping up all over the place. The mountains to the north of us are no longer visiable because of all the smoke from the fire to our west and there are more fires to the east as well at least the winds haven't started yet or who knows what would be happening.

Naked Neighbors

So how does one politely remind their neighbor to close the blinds when you are cooking/ walking around your apartment naked? I got home from work this evening and as my husband was preparing dinner we notice the neighbor across the way was at least completely topless and walking around her kitchen which lines up perfectly with ours. Needless to say turning on and off lights isn't enough to make one aware that their blinds are open. I am thinkg of leaving a note on their door but I also hope this is a one time event, and I won't have to do anything.
